I just read the series, and I like it lots. I always figured the Doctor had to have thought of Rose, when he heard those words from Boe, and maybe hoped....

That way of seeing things didn't occur to me until I started writing this particular ficlet; now it has, I'm not at all sure I'll be able to see it as anything else.

So, the question is: will he get the chance to tell her? And maybe not lose track of time again?
