A/N: An unbeta-ed bit of flangst (fluffy angst, you’ll see what I mean once you’ve read it) I wrote today in response to this banner by schattenmond. I nicked a bit of dialogue from The Christmas Invasion, but nothing spoilery for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet (is there anyone who hasn’t seen it yet?)
Summary: “You can tell me anything. You know that, don’t you?”

“You’d tell me if there was something wrong, wouldn’t you?” The Doctor was fussing around Rose like a mother hen.

He could sense that something was troubling her, but she wouldn’t tell him what it was, and it worried him.

“I’m fine, Doctor. Look at me, I’m fine. I look fine, I feel fine. Stop worrying!”

“If you say so. Rose?”

He put a hand on her shoulder and turned her, pulling her into a hug.

“What, Doctor?”

“You can tell me anything. You know that, don’t you? Anything. Anything at all, ever.”

She smiled.

“I know. And thank you.”

I'd seen Tooth and Claw, GitF and Army of Ghosts/Doomsday before deciding that I needed to buy it for myself. It really is lovely to watch them, and it makes me happy and sad at the same time. I watched Fear Her today and this line from the Doctor made me so sad:

"They feed off each other's love. They're lost without it."

Oh so true of him and Rose :(
