This is gorgeous. You captured the Doctor's thoughts and emotions in those few moments so well. Not just his angst but his fear as well, his fear of Rose leaving him that he has always, always had: he was scared, so very scared, that he’d regenerate and her return would all be for nothing because she wouldn’t want to come with him, wouldn’t want to learn to love a new him all over again
