Summary: One time we had to hop.
“Remember hopping for your life? Yeah?! Hop? With the...”
He’s babbling, and he knows he is, but he needs to keep this conversation alive. He’s desperate not to lose her, but thinks his previous incarnation’s failure to tell her about regeneration might just have tipped that balance against him.
She’s not saying anything. She’s barely looking at him, even, and he’s terrified. He died for love of her; the idea that doing so may mean he has lost her for ever cuts him deeply.
At the thought of that the enthusiasm in his tone fades, and he stops hopping.

Now we need a story of Nine and Rose hopping for their lives :)
I can’t write Nine to save my life *pets him*.

And I kind of like that the special still has no name. Makes it special; like it's "The" Children In Need Special. All others pale in comparison ;)
It’s the only one with the two of them together, if I remember right, so yes it is special.
