His lungs feel as if they’re bursting.
That’s probably because he’s never run so fast in his life – not in this one, not since he lost her. She’s the one thing in the whole universe he wants, and there’s nothing that could stop him running to her as if his life depended upon it.
He’s so glad he believed Donna and turned around to see for himself.
He can hardly breathe. So much for a respiratory by-pass system.
She’s here. He can hardly believe it; he'd said it was impossible.
He might have guessed she’d end up proving him wrong.

I think I’d have preferred the firehose, would have been some comic relief that episode badly needed.
I’m tired of TPTB making everything to do with Ten about angst, I really am.

Lovely fic and I liked you using David's quote from the confidential. He so ships them:)

I think Daleks are stupid by nature. Or maybe it’s the hive-mind part of them I find unnerving, I’m not sure.

He does, doesn’t he? Had to use that phrase in here, it just fits so well.

Damn Dalek is right. Always showing up where they’re not wanted (but then, where are they wanted?)

Glad you like it :)
(And I had to use that quote of DT’s, it fits so neatly with the story.)

This almost hurts too much to read it unless I shove all memories of the rest of the series into a little box...

Yeah, tell me about it. Poor Ten.

IMO, that scene -- especially the Doctor running flat-out towards his Rose, and the look of utter joy on his face -- was the best thing in the episode.
Oh, and referencing earlier comments, I'd give anything to have seen Donna blast away that Dalek with a firehose before it could take out Ten!
