It's Just You and Him

Title: It's Just You and Him
Rating: PG-13
Characters/Pairing: Ten/Rose, Mickey
Setting: Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel
Disclaimer: I'm borrowing characters that aren't mine.
A/N: Unbeta-ed, so any and all mistakes are mine.
Summary: It's not one thing that's making him want out. It's a whole host of them.

You’ve seen the searing, longing looks he gives her - and how she looks at him in exactly the same way. You’ve seen how they touch each other when they think you’re not looking.

How most of the time it’s just the two of them.

You’ve noticed how it’s always him she goes to for comfort when things go wrong, never you. You’ve watched him struggle against, and finally submit to, his need to keep her close to him.

You’ve witnessed them fall in love with each other.

You’re not stupid. There’s nothing left for you, and you know it.

Gah. This made my heart hurt. Poor, poor Mickey - you've summed up his state of mind extremely convincingly. Nice drabble!

Gah. This made my heart hurt.

Mine, too. Much as I love Ten/Rose it was mighty unfair on Mickey.

Poor, poor Mickey - you've summed up his state of mind extremely convincingly.

Always good to hear when you're doing something right!

I, too, think Mickey had a very raw deal while he was on the TARDIS, and earlier. Rose should have made it abundantly clear a lot sooner than she did (if indeed she ever spoke the actual words).

Nice drabble!

Thanks!

Pooooor Mickey. At least he came into his own in the parallel world - as, I hope, Rose is as well.

Pooooor Mickey.

Ain't it just?

I have huge love for Mickey; I hope that comes through when I write about him.

At least he came into his own in the parallel world - as, I hope, Rose is as well.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out that Mickey's busy trying to find a way to get Rose back to her Doctor.

If there's a Rift near Cardiff in that universe, like there is in ours, then she's sorted.
