I want to say "Yes" but I fear that there may be too much at stake, in which case I believe that the Doctor would choose not to mess about with time lines even if it would ensure his (and Rose's) happiness. I would love him to do that, though *sigh*

Of course he wouldn't, but then again a clever cheat could be in order.

Even if he wanted to - or actually did it - wouldn't the Reapers be turning up for mucking up their timelines?

I wonder....If he doesn't make any permanent changes, he might fuff with the "rules" a bit until Rose fixes him up again. I think she might have to set things right in order to preserve the space-time continuum and stuff and avoid reapers or something. Sounds long and plotty though! Sounds fun and wonderful and full of potentially wonderful shippyness...

Right after EotD? She'd be lucky if he didn't just whisk her onto the TARDIS and take off for parts unknown without so much as a by-your-leave.

I chose "Don't Know" because my brain kind of exploded when I read that sentence.

Actually, now that I think about it... if the Rose he met was angry and very unhappy, or if she was of the opinion that the proper Doctor didn't really love her, he might be so horrified as to attempt to change the timeline. Besides, he might be able to save Donna, too, depending on how he goes about it.

I think if he came into a transitional period where Rose still doesn't know which way is up, he might consider it a bit longer than if he arrived five+ years after and Rose was coming to terms with it. I think he would change time if it was really bad.

He probably would, but then would have to end up losing her again to fix everything, since the Reapers would probably show up, unless some timey wimey stuff was going on and it could be explained away. But I think his need and grief for her were so great then that he would have done it.

I'm not sure he'd do it, but it's not completely out of the question. If he did he'd probably think that if it went bad a Reaper would eat him first, considering now he's probably even lower in mood than he was then.

I think that would be an interesting scenario. If the Doctor could pull it off without bringing in the Reapers or causing the collapse of the Universe/s, he would. Even at his lowest point, he would not deliberately endanger the lives of billions of sentient beings.

If you could unravel the mess with the Clone and Donna as well, all the better! (I'm one of those who was not at all happy about how Journey's End ended, but I think posting a rant about it three months after it aired would be a little pointless. Still, I'd love to see a really good fixit story.)
