Something I saw recently that made me think of Rose post-Journey’s End.

It’s from a longer poem (the rest of which, although it’s remarkably well-written and painful to read, doesn’t chime a Doctor/Rose bell with me); this particular part, borrowed from the last stanza of the poem, makes me think of what Rose might have been thinking of for at least a little while after the events of Journey’s End.

I sometimes wonder
if you were mad at me
and if you hate me
and if this will always hurt
so numbingly much.

adapted from Curiosity, by Virginia Tamez.

:( Very apt, though!

Yes, sadly; as is that icon of yours.

Or (again, setting aside the overall context of the poem) perhaps it might be what the Doctor's thinking about Rose in the aftermath of JE.

Hadn’t thought of that.

Looking at it from that POV I think it’s possibly more appropriate, and definitely even more poignant.
