how can you write a sonnet? i can hardly scrape together a rhyming poem, let alone follow the rules of the sonnet! (that's unfair, that is.)

This one was actually quite hard to write. I tried to write it in modern English (i.e. none of the "thee" and "thou" in it) but it just refused to work.
Switched to the archaic language and it just seemed to flow. Weird, or what?

I'm still a bit meeved that they didn't give a TSR shout-out (the referenced way on back to The Romans instead), but this makes me feel much better!
Ah, but to shout out for The Stone Rose would probably be too overtly shippy for them (although given that they're all onboard for the Doctor/Rose 'ship, it wouldn't have hurt).

I'm stunned by the beautiful and formal language. I have great admiration for those who can write in poetic forms like this.
I tried writing this in normal language (i.e. without the archaic second person) but it wouldn’t work. As soon as I brought the “thee / thou” concept in it just flowed out.
I am glad you like this one; it’s one of my favourites.
