Summary: Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey.
He could remember the oddest things. Not always what he wanted to remember, either.
He could remember how it had felt when she had lied to him about their baby – he couldn’t for the life of him pin down how he knew, he just did – but he had forgotten exactly how her skin felt beneath his fingers.
And each memory of his relationship with Rose started to slip from him, no matter how much he wanted to hold on to what little he had left; as each memory lost its sharpness he was crueller and crueller to Martha.

There're several things I didn't like about Martha, but she did get quite a bum deal in her tenure as companion.
She got a horribly raw deal, didn’t she? The further from Season Three I get the less I dislike her, though, which is odd.
