A/N: A series of ficlets that looks at how a member of a people "peaceful to the point of indolence" could turn into the Valeyard. The title comes from the book of the same name by Terence Blacker. Title: All My Love To Long Ago
Rating: PG-13
Setting: The beginning of Utopia
Character(s): Ten. Rose. Some mention of Jack
Pairing(s): Ten/Rose
Spoilers: Spoilers from Utopia about Jack; a line of dialogue from Time Crash.
Author's Note: A sequel (of sorts) to A Moment Sought In Air; I was thinking about what might make the Doctor run away from Jack after deliberately going to Cardiff to see him, and this was the result. The title comes from a line spoken by the Tenth Doctor in the Children in Need special Time Crash. According to my count, it's a double-drabble. The two lines of iambic pentameter at the beginning were written by me.
Disclaimer: I am neither the BBC nor the Tenth Doctor ;)
Dedication: For [livejournal.com profile] sensiblecat, for giving me the idea.
Summary: He reminds you, beyond the point of endurance, of who and what you used to be.

A/N: This deals with the beginning of the way back. Unbeta-ed, so any and all mistakes are mine. The title (from the poem Should Lanterns Shine?), and the quote at the beginning of the fic (from the poem And Death Shall Have No Dominion), are both by Dylan Thomas.
Disclaimer: I'm neither Dylan Thomas nor the BBC.

It was written for [livejournal.com profile] adonde_fui as part of the [livejournal.com profile] time_and_chips Secret Pilotfish Exchange. [livejournal.com profile] adonde_fui asked for Fic-ten/rose, your choice, so I hope this cuts the mustard! The title comes from the Runrig song The Dancing Floor. All italicised dialogue is from the episodes.
Summary: He tries not to see everyone through a Rose-shaped prism, but it's a losing battle.

Especially when Rose is all he ever wants to see. )

Pairing: Implied Ten/Rose

If you had his nightmares, neither would you. )

Title: Bittersweet
Setting: Utopia
Character(s): Ten. Mentions of Jack, Rose and Martha.

Title: A Measure of Time
Character(s): Rose. Ten mentioned passim
